The future of Great Britain lies in the balance on September 18th with the Scottish Independence Referendum vote. Although various polls have been published giving either the yes or no side a lead, experts are saying that vote is to close to call.
The parallels with the Canadian or Quebec referendums are interesting in two ways. With regard to the actual question being asked, the Scottish ballot is much more clearer than Quebec’s independence question: “do you support Scottish independence; yes or no. The comments about the leaving of Scotland from the union ,however, are quite similar with many in Great Britain saying that if Scotland goes “it will tear the heart out of the country”! To say the least , September 18th will be an historic day for both Scotland and Great Britain. Hang on to your seat!!
